there were small errors in the other books..but this one OMG.. at one point there were so many errors it got confusing.. Logan would be talking and saying somethign about LOGAN.. when he meant one of other characters.. Breena was called BRIAN at one point..
but other than the story line is enjoyable just don't get lost ..

I couldn't put it down! I read the whole collection in 5 days!!!! And I am not a fast reader! Great for all ages. Would recommend for ages 14 to 114!
Shasta,Rodney,Rose,Logan & Alistair start off where Midnight Frost ends. Searching for a way to bring back the Twin Suns and save their world. They encounter hard terrain and at times minimal food but strive forward. Rose and Alistair are alchemists each specializing in something different. Alistair is still in love with Rose but at times she is conflicted, her feelings for Logan are increasing especially when she realizes her speacial talent for animals comes into play. Shasta is still trying to come to terms with what she has done and Rodney is her ever present rock. Logan is still trying to get over the death of his grandfather and those who murdered him and Breena and the fact that she chose Kian.
I really have enjoyed every book in this series and especially the novellas.Seeing the characters evolve throught the series gives me hope that when the author decides to end the series that most of the characters will be in a better place. Logan will find his soulmate and let go of Breena. Shasta and Rodney will finally find their peace and marry. And Rose and Alistair, well who knows what their futures will be.
I gave this book a 4 star due to more than normal typos, and I had to reread my copy several times to understand what the author meant for certain scenes.
I can't wait for the next book!
Excellent read. Quick because you want to know what's in the next chapter. I love this author. Kailin Gow is writes very creatively. I have read most of her other series.
It keeps you turning page after page! A really nice story and suspenseful! Loved it
I have to say, I'm very disappointed. I do not feel this book is written as well as the others. Typos I can deal with, but this book doesn't have the same imagination as the other 5. I personally don't like the view point being someone other than Breena. I like the author's willingness to think outside of the box, but I don't think it worked for this series. I've fallen in love with this series, and have loved watching Breena develop as a character. Just when she's beginning to figure things out, the viewpoint gets switched. But other things have been off, for this series, anyways. The author continuously uses the same words over and over to descirbe things. Seeing the same descriptive word 8 times in 3 paragraphs bothers me. I feel that would be something any good editor would catch. With all that said, this book is not horrible. It does have a decent storyline and rich characters. I don't feel like it is up to par with the rest of the series. Kaitlin is such a great author, and I feel this book could have been written better, even from Rose's perspective.
This series HAD ME HOOKED!
Be prepared to buy all of them lol, you just have to know what happens next!!!

Again Kailin Gow remains true to her characters and the land she has created. Her story continues. No spoiler alert but I should have seen this character coming. The book is fun and fast reading.
